British WWI 18pdr Artillery EMHAR camouflaged 1/35
Here I post this British 18pdr, built and painted by my father. I found the camouflage and made the pictures
. Not many first world war kits in 1/35, so when we saw this in a model kit exhibition at just 5 € we snatched it. Sad that the crew is just 3, five would have been more like it. Placed upon an improvised diorama.

Crusader Castle 1/72 MiniArt Fortress 72004
This is a kit my father built and I painted it for him. Instead of the typical grey, we decided to go for a southern looking rock, like in the Holy Land or similar, inspired in the Maltese limestone.
This kit from Miniart (which can be found at a really cheap price online) is screaming for a base, and so we went for a raised stand. It is made of cardboard-wood from the back of some frame, porexpan, and liquid membraning for roof that works very well for this job, as is thicker than white glue, stronger, and it was already available in sandy colour.
I painted with acrylics a few crags on the landscape, and glued a few shrubs here and there.
My father glued the door to the keep in a raised position, to make it more difficult for invaders, and so I sculpted with milliput some stairs.
The castle has been left as modular and can be taken apart, for easy storage and to build in different configurations and bases.
The kit itself is a bit poor and requires a bit of work, parts don't fit, big gaps, not well thought, but at this price one cannot complain.
And well, let's see who guesses first from where I took the image of the flag :) .

Tutorial; HOW TO MAKE A STONE BUILDING in 1/72 for WARGAMING and DIORAMAS How-To
Welcome to my fourth video tutorial, this time something that will be useful to all wargamers and diorama makers, making realistic stone buildings.
As always, you can follow this tutorial with some of the most basic elements you can find; clay easy to find everywhere (if you live in a suitable area, you could even get it from nature) and cardboard (you could also use transparent plastic, but it would not bond together so well).
Hope you find it useful;
See finished pics below;
If you've liked this tutorial and want to say thanks, one way is just to make a click on the advertising below, that will help me buy modelling materials and dedicate more time to the blog and less to work!

HOW TO MAKE WATCHTOWER Tutorial 1:72 Wargaming Diorama Scenario creation
This is my third video-tutorial, this time how to make a fast watchtower (it took me 15 minutes, with practice, and in factory mode, you can do them as fast as chips) and I hope I have improved about the other ones. I've made clearer, faster (x2 speed) and made sharper pics in the end.
Thanks to the collaboration of the Byzantine soldier, the Varangian guard and the Alan archer who will remain anonymous to pose for the final pics :) .
Hope you find it useful;

TUTORIAL; How to make a realistic tree for dioramas or wargaming in 10 minutes
Welcome to my first proper tutorial of this blog, and the first with video. I've always wanted to make trees for wargaming, but never found out how to do it fastly and without spending a lifetime making one pine tree. After following some advice on Benno Figures Forum, I found that my sawdust had mysteriously escaped my modelling boxes, but while searching for something else (damn, I've still haven't found 1/72 arab tents!) I found these vegetable fibres for Christmas Nativity decorating, and the same day I went out to the mountain and found the perfect dry bush.
So, by chance, I had the perfect ingredients. I leave you with the video that explains everything;
